FDM 's CAD and RMS work as a single unified system. Users can determine the information that is visible on the CAD side depending on what they need to see. Examples of stored data commonly accessed in CAD include personnel specialties, hazmat sites, and and contact information related to an incident or property. Online NAERG 2000 hazmat guidelines and Standard Operating Guidelines containing the department's processes and procedures are also available for display in CAD. Incidents processed in CAD automatically become reports in the RMS with prefilled data.

FDM provides medical incident management as well as complete integration between EMS and Fire incident management when a multiple-service responses are dispatched. Key features for EMS support include: configuration of medical unit responses; configuration of both emergency and non-emergency incident types; integration with Priority Dispatch Corporation's case entry software, ProQA; generation of patient care reports from the CAD work area; a hospital vacancy tracking module and the ability to schedule non-emergency calls such as patient transfers.

FDMCAD fully supports a multi-jurisdictional dispatch environment. Response types and response logic are completely user-definable and can be configured to meet the business rules of distinct agencies. FDM software also offers an advanced security setting known as "workspace" that allows different departments to share the same database without seeing each other's data.

We have a established partnership with CompassCom, Inc., a leading provider of AVL/GPs systems. FDMCAD uses AVL data to show the location of units in real time. FDMCAD can also use AVL to find the closest unit to an incident. The system can then recommend units based on a combination of the closest unit available, the capabilities of that unit, and type of incident you are responding to.

Yes. The call-taker can choose to "Commit/Keep" the call. This commits the case for a response and passes the call information to the dispatch control area, where the dispatcher can commit units and enter incident information. Meanwhile, the call-taker can continue to enter notes if the caller is still on the line.
